Find a hotel, cabin, cottage or bed and breakfast in Green Lake, Wisconsin

Nothing brings people together like relaxing lakeside, toasting marshmallows around a roaring bonfire, or a boat ride across the lake at sunset. So leave the world behind and start making memories in Green Lake. With clean, fresh waters to play in, endless miles of hiking and biking trails and vibrant fun-filled festivals, there is simply no better place to reconnect with each other. Come and connect with the Good Life in Green Lake.

First, head to downtown Green Lake for a performance at Thrasher Opera House. Built in 1910, Thrasher first hosted vaudeville and traveling theatrical companies, and showed silent movies as soon as electricity became available. The restored theater is a special piece of history and hosts fine musical, comedy, theatrical, film and community events.

For the more adventurous,Wisconsin’s Majestic Balloons will give you a view like you’ve never imagined. Sunset hot air balloon flights are available daily from mid-May through early September and on most weekends year-round.

Explore the natural beauty of Green Lake on one of the many public hiking trails. The hiking trails enable trail users of every level and endurance to take in the natural beauty of Wisconsin at its best. Hammers Trail features five bridges over several creeks and springs. Norwegian Bay Boardwalk leads users through the largest area of contiguous wetlands. Winnebago Trail Conservancy is a former Native American trail that follows the elevated shoreline for spectacular views of Green Lake. Tuleta Hill Prairie Trail winds through restored farmland. Sunnyside Conservancy Trail features level terrain through woods. Pool’s Hill Nature Preserve and Sugar Island Wetlands offer open exploration of wetlands with woods and are only accessible by water. Mitchells Glen is a steep-sided and timbered gorge with unique geological formations and a spring-fed stream. Certainly no shortage for explorers!

We can’t forget the lake itself. With more than 27 miles of shoreline, you have over 11 square miles to experience your fun and enjoy your time in Green Lake. And given that Green Lake is 95% spring fed, you can have a lot of opportunities to take your canoes or kayaks out on the lake and rivers, too!

Come and enjoy the outdoors and beauty that Green Lake has to offer.
