As soon as you step onto the front porch and peer through the original double-glass doors, etched with the historic name “Crystal River Farms”, you know you are in a special place! Enter the spacious & welcoming foyer with original wood flooring, 11 foot ceilings and an impressive walnut staircase winding to the second floor guest rooms (first floor guest room also available). The elegant parlor with pretty bay window sits off the foyer and has huge pocket doors that lead to the peaceful Study. It is the perfect gathering space with another bay window and a cozy wood fireplace that is framed by an ornate antique mirrored mantle. The room invites you to sit a spell to enjoy her warmth and cozy up to read, play some games or catch a game on the Inn’s TV.
You will sleep deeply on luxurious bedding in one of our 5 uniquely appointed guest suites all with private attached baths (2-person whirlpool/fireplace & original clawfoot tub rooms available), All feature cable TV, central & room a/c, fireplaces (seasonal), hair dryer, bath products, plush robes & Wi-Fi.
Outside you can stroll past the historic coach house to find the path down to the Crystal River. Along the way you will notice over 20 natural springs joining together to form a trickling stream with fresh watercress growing in it year round! Meander across a footbridge to a private island spot where fish are ready to be caught and deer frolic in the woods. A perfect area for enjoying nature, fishing, and bird watching.
Waupaca has something to offer everyone: hiking, kayaking, boating, canoeing, swimming, shopping, biking, golfing, antiquing, hunting, fishing, dining or just relaxing. The famous Chain O’ Lakes is just minutes away where you can ride the Chief Waupaca paddleboat or eat lakeside at the Clear Water Harbor restaurant. There are many events and live music options in the summer.
You have the choice of a full, continental, or no breakfast in the morning. The full breakfast is served by the bay windows in the study or parlor or in the dining room. Breakfast in your room or on the covered porch is also available by request.
